“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.” --1 Corinthians 12:4-6

The Church is the Body of Christ. Many places in scripture represent the church as the body of Christ with each member contributing to the whole. There are many different people in our church with many different gifts to share. On occasion, members are called upon to serve as Ruling Elders or Deacons. This is a distinctive leadership role calling for particular gifts and commitments.

The Congregational Nominating Committee needs your help. We are seeking names to consider for nomination to the session or board of deacons. Those who accept nomination should be available through the entire search timeframe. Self-nominations are also welcome!

Can you help us? Those members who submit names for consideration for Ruling Elder or Deacon should prayerfully consider the qualifications of those persons. While any active member of the congregation is eligible to serve, the main attributes to think about are: one who demonstrates a belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ; one who is a regular worship attendee; one who practices stewardship; and, one who participates in the mission and program life of the church. Both are for three-year terms, beginning on June 1, 2023 and ending on May 31, 2026.

Fill in the Form. This form is for you to write suggestions of people whom you believe are qualified to serve. The committee will receive these forms and prayerfully evaluate the needs of the boards and the particular gifts of the people who may fill them.

Please submit your recommendation(s) by October 15,2022. Paper ballots are available in the Narthex.
