Stephen Ministry

A Stephen Minister listens, encourages, keeps confidence, prays, supports, and walks beside a hurting person. Stephen Ministers are committed Christians who receive extensive training in care giving skills, visit another person regularly, are committed to confidentiality, and listen to your concerns. Stephen Ministers are NOT counselors, therapists, problem solvers, or casual visitors.

People who are dealing with the following may benefit from a Stephen Minister: Illness/hospitalization; Chronic illness; An ill family member; Family frustrations and challenges; Moving transitions; Loneliness; Death or serious loss; Divorce; Pregnancy/adoption; A disability; A disabled family member; Terminal illness; Self-esteem; Job loss; Financial setbacks; Aging and elderly; Faith issues; Major changes in their lives; Other concerns.

If you or someone you know would like more information on a Stephen Minister, please call the church office at (239) 597-5410.
